AFCSL Closing Party!

Our End-Of-Season-Party is here!

This Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. come out and celebrate at The Center!

Paid players are free, guests of players are $5 each.

Jersey Joe's will be providing food. Drinks are cheap! $3 for cocktails, $2 for beer and $1 for Soda and Water.

Come celebrate our top finishers and cheer for each team's MVP, as tophies will be handed out!

Be there or be square!

The AFCSL Board of Directors and the members of the AFCSL Hall of Fame would like to recognize the nominees for the 2013 AFCSL Hall of Fame.

Shirlee Linke

Though the voting was close we would like to congratulate Shirlee Linke as the lone member of the 2013 class.

Prior to her retirement in 2010, Shirlee had been a part of the AFCSL for more than 27 years as a player, coach, manager and board member.

For years Shirlee could be found roaming the fields, talking ball for hours before and hours after her games had been played.

From clinics, league, tournaments and World Series around the country, Shirlee represented the AFCSL and San Diego with a passion and pride that few could match.

Congratulations Shirlee, we welcome you to our Hall of Fame!

AFCSL 2014 Board of Directors Election

The 2014 Board of Directors Election is now open. Every person, whether you play or manage, if you registered you get a vote.

Simply log on and click on the MY AFCSL tab, select elections and make your voice heard.

The election closes at 9 pm on June 21st, so don't wait. Get it done now.

Thank you for visiting the home of San Diego's softball league by and for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered athletes and our supportive heterosexual friends.

If you're new and want to play in the AFCSL, then read on!

We play two seasons each year, one Spring season and a less formal Fall season. The Spring 2013 season will begin Sunday, March 10.

New players are always welcome, and a league our size attracts all levels of experience, from beginners who haven't played at all, to advanced players who were born with a bat in their hand, and all levels in between.

NAGAAA & ASANA

America's Finest CIty Softball League (AFCSL) is proud to participate in both NAGAAA (North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance) and ASANA (Amateur Softball Association of North America), the premier softball leagues by and for the LGBT community.

Each year NAGAAA puts on the Gay Softball World Series (GSWS), and the AFCSL sends between 3 and 5 teams to the event.

ASANA does the same, but for the Women's Softball World Series. AFCSL is especially proud and honored to support ASANA in hosting the WSWS in 2012.
