Welcome to the site of
America's Finest City Softball League.
America’s
Finest City Softball League (“AFCSL”) was formed in 1981
as a place for Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender people
to come together and play softball. Over the years and
with its’ continued years of growth, the AFCSL is now a
place for all to come and have fun, meet new people and
enjoy the game of softball. And as a sporting
organization, our intention is general safety first with
our league rules and regulations.
Softball
in San Diego is a year round sport. The AFCSL is host
its’ main Spring season, to a more relaxed Fall season,
and also the proud host of the Autumn Classic Tournament
which takes place over Columbus weekend.
The AFCSL
is a member of the
North American Amateur Athletic
Association (“NAGAAA”)
for the Open Division, and member
of
Amateur Sports Alliance of North America (ASANA) for
the Women's Division. Both will be hosting the Softball
World Series (not Gay Softball World Series).
San Diego
has been the host city for this national tournament both
in 1997 and 2005.
As a
voluntary participation organization, the AFCSL is not
responsible for forming teams for play. Our new player
recruitment days are intended as an introduction for new
players to softball and to the AFCSL.
